Candace Lombardi- SOLICITOR | McDonald Leong Lawyers

A well-established firm, McDonald Leong Lawyers is in its 21st year of practice with partners Linda Leong and Mark McDonald at the helm. “We’re a boutique law firm, which allows us to focus on our clients’ overall experience and getting them the best possible results,” says solicitor Candace Lombardi.

“We’re the type of firm where you’ll never just be a number and, as practitioners, we have the freedom to devote whatever is needed to each individual file without question.”

Candace joined McDonald Leong Lawyers more than seven years ago. “While I was at university (JCU) I did work experience and through that met some of the most influential professionals in my career. This also led me to my current employment at McDonald Leong Lawyers,” Candace says. “I was trained by Linda Leong, who was and still is an inspiration for me as a young female solicitor and I hope to be able to provide that sort of guidance to others starting out in practice.”

Now a Senior Solicitor in the firm, Candace practices in Litigation and is widely experienced in representing victims of motor vehicle accidents, work accidents and other personal injury claims against major insurance companies.

She also practices in Criminal Law, including traffic infringements, restricted licences and debt recovery.
“I’m passionate about being a solicitor because you have the ability to make a real difference in your clients’ lives,” Candace says. “Legal issues can be very daunting for people and, without assistance, it can be a frightening and confusing experience.

As solicitors, we have the ability to simplify and clarify the matter and that gives people a real peace of mind.” An active member of the community, Candace enjoys keeping fit and loves strength training, running, group fitness, Pilates and the Townsville tradition of climbing Castle Hill.  “I also love the ocean and am really enjoying paddle boarding,” Candace says.

“I recently had my first go at surfing on the Gold Coast, which was a goal for me and it was fantastic. Luckily for me my husband shares a lot of my passions but, when we’re not out and about, we love time at home with our fur babies, cooking beautiful food and spending time with our families.”
